Many Hands…

CoopPainting_edited-1

Designing, drawing, and painting a canvas labyrinth is a big job. While it can be done singlehandedly, a community effort can offer a multitude of benefits, from the teaching of new skills to the deepening of friendships — not to mention being able to finish the job more quickly! The new canvas labyrinth for Woodbrooke has been a long time in the planning, from room-measuring to paint choosing and canvas-ordering, but finally a group of willing workers assembled in Bourneville for a long weekend of labyrinth-making under the direction of Jan Sellers and Jeff Saward. Over the course of four days, and amidst simultaneous and spontaneous outbursts of individual labyrinth creativity, a 6.5 metre canvas went from this:

And a good time was had by all!

May all those who walk this beautiful labyrinth be blessed on their journeys.
