Long-time readers will be aware of my penchant for pilgrimage. I don’t know why or when it started, but I know the exact moment that “The Camino Calls!”
Autumn on the Thames
We have been enjoying the most beautiful autumnal weather this week – crisp, golden sunshine that begs you to head outdoors.
Vintage Blooms
We have a potted echinopsis cactus in our garden that is almost as old as we are. This year it has excelled itself – last night 13 flowers opened simultaneously, to create this splendid spectacle.
Garden Wonders
The sun caught this bracken fungus growing on an ash tree at the bottom of our garden this morning, showing us that magic and wonder are never far away.
Local Labyrinths at Last!
We have some new spiralling paths in our area – a new labyrinth in Southend and a maze in Shoebury.
Happy Easter
Wishing you the blessings of Spring and the joy of gentle renewal!
Walking into Spring
Easter weekend in England is long – but this year it is sunny-long. Warm-long! We’re making the most of it, heading into the sunshine as much as we can to see what is stirring and who is returning from their winter haunts.
Early Spring
My soul responds to the gentle greening of the world around me, and I find myself reaching for my pens and paints while Mother Earth stirs and begins to send forth her colourful shoots and blooms.
Stormy Sighting
Mother Nature pulled the tide out farther than normal, allowing the sighting of some colourful orange sponges which were resplendent as they stuck out above the grey waves.
Springtime Miracle
I want to shout from the rooftops that Hope and Mystery have re-entered our realm. My youngest daughter and her husband are expecting twins!
