Day Three

Today was an easier day, especially since climbing up to our hotel yesterday meant that we were already well on our way up the infamous hill leading out of Pontedeume. Once at the top, our path lead through forests and fields, where these raised granaries are a common sight in Galicia.

We met up with another pilgrim, a woman from Madrid who is a Camino veteran, but was nursing a sore leg. She walked with us as far as Miño, where we are staying for the night. We haven’t seen many other pilgrims, so our time together seemed quite special.

We are staying right near the beach this evening, so Lisa blessed the ocean with a labyrinth while I enjoyed a long hot bath. I think we both feel better for our choices!
